SIYA TALE सिया टेल- विचारपूस

 



आपण सगळे एकमेकांची विचारपूस करत असतो नाही का? पण घरात फॅमिलीत नाही होत. म्हणजे जिथे फक्त आई बाबा आणि भाऊ बहिण राहत असतील तर आपण रोजच एकमेकांना विचारत नाही,  कसे आहात? काय चालंय वैगरे. आणि nuclear family असल्यामुळं घरात सहसा कोणी येत नाही. हे सगळं सांगायचे तात्पर्य की लहान मुले observe करतात आणि शिकतात. 


पण माझ्या घरात ह्या गोष्टी सहसा होत नाही. Twins असल्यामुळं पाहुण्याची वर्दळ कमीच. तर विचारपूस करणे सीयाने कसे आत्मसात केले कुणास ठाउक?


तिची सई दिदी शाळेतून घरी येते तेव्हा जसे door nock होते तशी सिया आनंदाने नाचू लागते. दिदी आली, दिदी आली! थोडा वेळ दीदी सोफ्यावर बसते आणि थोडी relax झाली की सीयाची विचारपूस चालू होते.


दमी दिदी,

पावसात भिजी दीदी, 

पाऊस खूप होता दिदी. 

हे तिच्या त्या भाषेमध्ये लडिवाळ पणे बोलते. दिदी सियाला मिठी मारते  आणि खूप सारी किसी करते. 

It melts my heart. 💜🥹


Similar way  तिचे बाबा (father) संध्याकाळी येतात तेव्हा तर चित्र वेगळेच असते. जसे door knock होते सिया बोलू लागते अगदी पोपटासारखी.


सिया पप्पा आला.

सिया पप्पा ऑफिस आला.

मम्मी सिया पप्पा आला.

दिदी सिया पप्पा आला.

सगळ्यांना सांगून झाल्यावर सिया नाचत नाचत पप्पाकडे जाते. आणि पुन्हा,

तू भिजा पप्पा?

तू दमा पप्पा?

पप्पा इट्स रेनिंग.

तू भीजा रेन मधे 

And on and on and on.....


गोड, निर्मळ आणि लडिवाळ अशी माझी सिया ! 💜❤️

SIYA TALES - सिया टेल

SIYA TALES



सई माझी मोठी मुलगी 11 वर्षाची. माझ्या जुळ्या मुली झाल्यापासून मला आठवत नाही ती माझ्या मांडीवर कधी झोपली. कारण  मांडीवर या दोघींचा कब्जा असतो. बिचारी सई कधी कधी रडते तर कधी कधी दोघींना जबरदस्ती बाजूला करते तर कधी कधी खूप चिडचिड करते. माझ्या मते असे तुम्हा सगळया आयांसोबत झाले असणार ना?

आणि मग रडत बोलत असते , मम्मी तू मला जवळच घेत नाही. माझे लाड करत नाही.

मी कितीही समजावले तरी ती मान्य करत नाही. मग शेवटी मला माझ्या अडीच वर्षाच्या लहान मुलीसोबत बोलावे लागते. ती बरीच शहाणी आहे बरं का 😁


 मी : मी जशी तुझी मम्मी आहे तशीच दीदी ची सुद्धा मम्मी आहे.

सिया : नो. तू दिदीची मम्मी नाही. 

मी : ना बेटा मी तिची पण मम्मी आहे. ती पण माझ्या मांडीवर झोपू शकते. तू तिला का झोपून देत नाही.

सिया : नाही . तू फक्त सियाची मम्मी आहे.

मी : उठ, झोपू दे तिला पण थोडा वेळ.

सिया : मम्मी व्हील्स ओन द बस गो राऊंड अँड राऊंड. 

इट्सी बिस्ती स्पायडर... आणि तिने poem गायला सुरुवात केली.

मी तिच्याकडे बघत राहिले. 😊


आणि आपण बोलतो की लहान मूलांना काहीच समजत नाही. विषय कसा change करायचा हे ती बरोबर शिकली. की असे बोलू ते तिला बरोबर जमले. 😊 असो मी आणि माझी सई आम्ही दोघी हसत राहीलो. 

आणि मग सिया ने मला मिठी मारली. 

अशी माझी सिया 💕

EASY WEEKLY DINNER - AUGUST 2024


Hello and Happy Friday. In today's post I am sharing the weekly dinner in Word format. Yes, in the reels and shorts world I am sharing in document format. 😁😑😊 But I like it. 


EASY WEEKLY DINNER AUGUST 2024


Making videos with twins is not my cup of tea, and Instagram algorithms are strange. But the most important thing is that this is my space, my diary, and whenever I look back through this diary, I see beautiful memories ❤️ memories of what we used to eat for a week? What does our weekly dinner look like? etc.


And so I started this series of sharing one weekly dinner for each month, which we actually have. Our dinner remains the same with slight differences. Whenever I feel too lazy to cook something, this blog post rescues and inspires me. With this hope, it will inspire you too (if you are Mommy) or any person struggling with dinner.

My weekly dinners are very simple, and they may be in everyone's house. I am Maharashtrian plus Malvani, so our eating habits are different. I am not sharing the full recipe, but yes, a little bit of everything. As the post title suggests easy weekly dinner means easy dinner which can be prepared in 15 to 30 minutes. I hope you will enjoy this post.

MONDAY: CHICKEN KHEEMA WITH CHAPATI 

No, we don't have Shravan, and we tend to eat non-veg food whenever we carve for it.

Chicken kheema is the easiest recipe, which can be prepared in 15 minutes. Just make sure you have to pressure cook kheema with salt and turmeric. Then the regular tadka of onions, ginger garlic paste, and some powdered masala, easy chicken kheema is ready in 15 minutes.  It tastes awesome with bun/bread. But we like to eat with chapati. 

For the Malvani version, you have (vatan): onion and coconut paste. I will share the detailed recipe soon. Stay tuned. 


TUESDAY: PANEER BURJI WITH CHAPATI

EASY WEEKLY DINNER AUGUST 2024

I had leftover dal fry and rice from lunch, and my daughter wanted to eat paneer. I made this paneer at home from milk, so paneer burji is the quickest recipe. When you prepare fresh paneer at home this burji tastes awesome. Onion and tomato-based burji is our family favourites.


WEDNESDAY: EGG DROP CURRY WITH STEAM RICE

Egg curry is a staple, but this month we were having it almost after 15 to 20 days. This egg curry is not from the boiled egg. The egg was directly added to the gravy so the name is egg drop curry. In boiled gravy, you have to drop an egg and let it sit for 10 minutes. The texture of the egg is different. Again, gravy is made up of vatan, which is a mixture of fried coconut and onion. This one is an easy and quick recipe. heat the oil and add vatan with curry leaves. then goes to basic masala and salt. let it boil for 10 minutes. Now add the egg or you can break the egg directly in the gravy. do not stir and let it sit for 10 minutes. Your delicious egg drop curry is ready.


THURSDAY: SPROUTS MOONG PULAV WITH CURD AND PANEER SHALLOW FRY

I didn't feel like cooking dinner. So this pulav is the rescue. I had sprouts at home. In the pressure cooker, I gave tadka with onion and ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and added rice and sprouts. Pressure cook for 3 whistles,  and your pulav is ready. The main masala is Everest Shahi Biryani masala, which gives a special flavour to your plain pulav. 

Curd is mandatory in my house, especially when there is khichdi, pulav, or biryani. This time I added shallow-fry paneer. Actually, this shallow-fry paneer is my toddler's favourite dish. Daughter and Mr Hubby also demanded the same. So I made it with a little bit of spice. 

Overall, this is the best dinner in a whole week. 

FRIDAY: TAKE AWAY FOOD

Friday is finally here. We had been at the hospital for a doctor's appointment for my twin. We order chicken gravy from the hotel and prepare some rice and roti at home. In my family, no one likes to eat naan. So I have to make chapati at home. Chicken gravy and white steamed rice are mandatory. It was Yum! 


I am a twin toddler mom. Making dinner is sometimes difficult. Still managed to feed my family healthy and easy meals.

WHAT DOES SELF LOVE MEANS TO ME


After becoming a mother, I realised the value of SELF-LOVE. Otherwise, my world is my family. But this so-called family keeps changing their colours as time flies. And  I am constantly seeking answers to many questions. Why? What? And how? 

Till date, I am still waiting for an answer. So I stopped searching and concentrated on "My Life "


And here, my SELF-LOVE journey has started. Once you become a mother, your whole world revolves around your kids. Our kids are constantly watching us, and I don't need to pretend to be happy for them. In fact, I learned how to be happy in real terms.

WHAT IS SELF LOVE? 

According to the dictionary, self-love means nurturing your mind, body, and soul. Looking in the mirror and feeling you are beautiful, you are worthy. 

Each word of the dictionary meaning is true. I never find myself so worthy. I feel the need to take care of my mind when my mind is filled with unnecessary garbage. 

I transformed myself through this self-love.


WHY SELF LOVE IS IMPORTANT?

Honestly speaking, self-love is important to cure yourself. It does help to reduce stress and anxiety. Self love not only provides positive outcomes for ourselves but also helps us to build self esteem. 


As a woman, we are always in a dilemma about being perfect. We want to be a perfect wife, daughter, and mother. These put lots of stress on the mind and body too. Here, you are required to identify what your priority is. It is you. When you prioritize yourself, then the label or validation from others doesn't matter. 


DOES SELF-LOVE MEAN BEING SELFISH? 

If it is helping you nurture your mind, body, and soul, then let it be selfish. Being selfish is not a harmful thing. I think when we value people less and give respect to ourselves, people are bound to think of us as selfish. And it is an added advantage for us. 

Right?


HOW DO I PRACTICE SELF-LOVE?

Self-love is purely taking care of yourself, your soul, and your body. Until you feel like taking care of yourself, you will not start to practice it. And I think once in your life, a time comes that tells you to stop and love yourself. Value yourself. 


The easy things that I love to do to nurture my mind, soul, and body are as follows: 


1. ACCEPTANCE: 

I took lots of time to reach this acceptance stage. Whatever you do for people around you, they are going to judge you or treat you according to their behavioral traits. So without stressing too much, accept them the way they are. Accept what they think about you. Accept why they didn't turn out the way you wanted. 

It makes life easy. It makes our minds stress free. 


2. SETTING BOUNDARIES: 

It is okay if you don't want to involve some people in your life. Just for the sake of society, or log kya kahenge, don't do things that your heart is not allowing. 

Setting boundaries and saying no are the most important but difficult things to do. I drew my boundaries and said NO many times. Yes, I have been judging, but I am clear with my boundaries. It makes my circle small, but I am at peace.


3. AVOIDING NEGATIVE PEOPLE :

I am afraid to make new friends due to some negative experiences, and I can feel the negative vibes of the people too. So being alone is okay, despite having negative people around you. Just saying hi and hello, maintaining social bonds, and avoiding such negative people make my life easy.  It applies to social media too. Just keep such people on mute, hide, or if you really hate them, just block them.😑(These are mostly annoying relatives and friends). These people not only hamper our happiness but also prove that "BURI NAJAR" is real.


4. BEING CREATIVE: 


When I prioritize myself, I find my creativity. I do read, write, draw, crochet, paint, and become a social media creator too. 😁

I love to write because it keeps me stress free. I love being in my world. Writing shifts me from the present situation and lifts my mood. 

Whenever my brain started overthinking, I switched to reading. Books are my best friends. I love to read blogs, books, and my new obsession, Kindle books. I feel happy when I read.

Drawing is meditation for me. But currently, due to my twin toddlers being unable to draw or paint,  Painting works like therapy for me.

Overall creativity helps you to upgrade yourself as a human being.


5. LET PEOPLE GO : 

Many times, we don't understand why some people are not in our lives. The people who matter so much for us but they keep eloping away from you.  I remembered the quote: Some people come into your life for a reason, and some for a season. 

Let them go. Believe me , when someone wants to be with you, he or she will always be with you. But if they want to go, just let them go. Sometimes it is difficult, but with time, it becomes easy. 


6. SELF CARE :

Being a mom, it is difficult to have time for self-care. But still, I do basic self-care and try to practice it every day. Taking a bath, applying body lotion, combing a hair, applying body spray or perfume, and wearing comfy but nice clothes at home are mandatory. I tried to follow these most of the time. Then only I can feel happy and confident. 


7. MOVING OUR BODY : 

Movement of the body is necessary when you are a mom. Doing a workout or yoga is not possible when your kids are climbing on you 😁, so I switched to the dance. Twinn toddlers too enjoyed dancing with Mummy, and so we can have our family dance once or twice a day. 

Dance increases your heartbeat. Movement makes you fresh and makes your body feel energetic. 



WHAT DO I GAIN FROM SELF-LOVE ?

Happy mind, stress-free soul, and breathing body. Keeping my stress at bay and minding myself is my new mantra. Through self-love, I started to see a new version of myself, which is happy and content. 


WRAP UP : 

Above points are through a mommy lense. Every stay at home mom has gone through this stage where she find herself looser with low self esteem. Negtive thoughts are on her mind always. To value herself she has to love herself. She has to love her body and soul. 

According to me SELF-LOVE  is not a destination it is ongoing journey with yourself. Start your self love journey and embrace all your weakness and have a happy life.

SAEE TURNS 11


And finally, she entered the double digit. An 11-year old growing girl is kind, lovable, and sweet.

Saee turned 11 years old on 14, August, Wednesday. Excitement has been on a high level since August's first day. I still remember a small baby saee, a toddler saee, and now my little doll entered in double Digit 😊 She has changed so much when I see her.  I can see an independent, travel-loving,  extrovert, social, active, and, creative girl who loves her family and friends. I can see baby saee, toddler Saee and now fully matured saee. Blessed to have a girl like her, GREATFUL!

Saee suddenly grew into a big girl when her twin sister arrived in our family. She was tiny, but she loved her sister so much. I can see mature growth during these last 3 years, and I feel my daughter is moving away from me slowly.

SAEE BIG SISTER: 

Big sister Saee is the best. I am really blessed to have such a sincere, kind, loving, and creative big sister.

As big sisters, we never imposed any responsibilities. In fact, I adore that she took on many of on her own. Being in a nuclear family, she understands many things. She understands the family values. And her whole world is her mummy, pappa and twin sister.

As a big sister, she always behaves like a mature girl. She love both twins and, at the same time, play with them too. 
I want to mention that siblings dispute is there too. My little toddler irritated her purposefully, and she does love her too much. Sometimes Saee finds it difficult to handle little sisters, and sometimes she handles them very well. Which surprised me a lot ! The bond these three girls have with each other fills my heart. 


11th YEAR BIRTHDAY PARTY :

This year's birthday party was special and filled with surprises. She wanted to have a magician, and when she asked, we denied it. ( Due to some reason) Later, at her birthday party, we surprised her with a magic show.

Today's generation is made up of BTS fans. Her father ordered a BTS cake . She was about to cry. And so, not having appropriate pictures.

The last surprise is a dance party. Adults as well as kids, we all had a blast. The dance party songs were Zingat, Gangam Style, Nagin Dance and the list will go on. The birthday party ended at 10:30 which is quite late. I forced everyone to go.

We enjoyed this party  mindfully and so I didn't have any special pictures or every pic. And you know what I don't have any regrets about that. 

RANDOM THINGS ABOUT BIRTHDAY GIRL: 

Saee loves her school so much. Her favourite thing is to go to school with friends and have non stop chitchat. Sometimes I have to force her to stay at home for rest.

Her favourite subjects are English, Science and Marathi. I am surprised when I saw the love for Marathi Language. Apart from that she love to draw, filled her diary with lots of interesting stuff and doing craft. She still love to share all little things with me, about school, teacher and friends. She adore her teacher and sometimes don't understand mean behaviour of some friends. She is far away from the jealousy and competitiveness.

The most important thing she is adorable and favourite of all school friends and some teachers too. She is favourite among her siblings.

Favourite Fruits : Apple, Banana Pear Plum, Mango, Watermelon Almost all fruits.

Favourite Fast Food : Pizza, burger, sandwich, shawarma, Frankie, Cookies, cakes.

Favourite Healthy Food : She is purely non-vegetarian. But love homemade food most of the time. 

  • Biryani, except veg biryani. 
  • All kinds of egg dishes. Egg omlette and egg burji , egg curry the favourite.
  • Mutton rather than chicken.
  • Paneer - all kind of paneer dishes
  • Kabab - all kind of chicken kabab. 
  •  kheema and vajadi too. 
  • She doesn't like to eat Chinese at all.

It been 11 years that you made me "Mother" First born child is always special and we both love you so much till. 

Yes, pre teen era has started and sometimes it is difficult to understand but we as a parent also learning and growing with her. 

"Be the best version of you "
And stay humble and kind person as you are already. 







I saw the changes in her since her childhood. When I read it back it filled my heart with love and bring tears in my eyes. Glad I restored all these milestone on my blog.

FRIDAY SPECIAL NARALIBHAT (II)

 

NARALIBHAT is a special authentic traditional recipe. Generally it is made for the festival - Narali Pournima and Rakshabandhan. 



WHAT IS NARALI POORNIMA?  

Narali Poornima is celebrated on Raksha bandhan. It is a double celebration in the region of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka.  

Naralipournima is celebrated by the koli community. It is hindu festival. The fishermen community offers coconut and worship the ocean. The devotees pray to God and seek his blessings for giving livelihood.



WHAT IS NARALIBHAT?

NARALIBHAT is a rice cooked in coconut and jaggery. Naralibhat is very delicious and easy recipe. Whenever there is festival and you want to try something new, quick sweet dish or dessert you can try this simple Naralibhat recipe. And you know me very well. I am making only simple dishes 😁

RECIPE :NARALIBHAT/ COCONUT RICE 


Ingredients: 

2 cups ambemohar Rice

2 cups of grated coconut 

1/2 cup ghee homemade ( sajuk toop)

3 cup grated Jaggery 

1/2 cup dry fruits ( cashew, Almond, prunes) or as per your choice. 


For Tadka 

10 to 12 cloves

1 TSP cardamom and nutmeg powder


Some preparation are as follows 

  • Clean and wash rice thoroughly under the tap water.
  • Fry dry fruits in ghee.
  • Great coconut and jaggery. 


Direction: 

Naralibhat can be made in two steps. 

       The first step is to cook rice: 

  • Wash rice very well and keep it soaked for 15 minutes. Remember to remove all the water.
  • Heat ghee and add lavang and then add rice , roast it very well.
  • Add 4 cups of water and cook the rice. 
  • Second step : Preparation of coconut and Jaggery mixture.

  • Heat 1/2 ghee and fry all dry fruits one by one.

  • In another pan cook jaggery and coconut together. Stir it continue. 
  • Lastly add cooked rice and fried dry fruits in it.

  • Sprinkle nutmeg and cardamom powder.

  • Mix it very well and keep it on low flame for 5 minutes.

  • Your delicious Coconut rice / Naralibhat is ready. 


Tips : 

  • You can use milk instead of water. 
  • You can use half water and half milk too. 
  • You can add up sugar if you want more sweet.
  • If you use coconut milk it will be more tasty. 


I learned it from my MIL. It is not my recipe. Do try this delicious Naralibhat for this Naralipournima or any other festival.
