5 FAVOURITE COMEDY SHOW AND MOVIES

Happy Thursday, today I will share our top 5 family favourite shows and movies that laugh us out till our cheeks pain. We as a family always watch these shows or movies that make us laugh out loud and bring tears to our eyes. Itna hasna jaruri hota hain—to have a stress-free evening. These shows or movies changed our home atmosphere within a fraction, and we all laughed even after switching off the TV.

Title of the Show: MAHARASHTRACHI HASYA JATRA 

This is a Marathi comedy show with an excellent actor, actress, writer, and director team. Their effortless acting makes you laugh so loud that you forget your worries. Their tagline is "Tumchya Tension Varchi Matra, Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra." 

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SHOW :

1. No bakwas drama like other comedy shows have.

2. Men's remaining men and females remain female while acting in any skit.

3. Comedy is a family comedy for most of the time, and though they have non-vegetarian comedy, it doesn't seem to. That is the speciality of this show.

4. Every actor or actress is a natural actor. Including well-known elderly actors blend very well with new-generation actors. 

5. Sometimes they do give social messages, and most of the time they present everyday situations and conflict in a comedy manner. 

6. Scriptwriters are amazing. I wonder how they can write so beautifully. Because making you laugh is a tough job, but this team has continued it for the last 10 to 12 years. 

Overall, I will say that professional comedians from different regions of Maharashtra effortlessly perform hilarious skits by using their state speciality. My favourite actors and actresses in this show are almost all.  Gaurav More, Omkar Bhojne, Vanita Kharat, Shramesh-Prathamesh, Pruthvik Pratap, Namrata Sambherav, Chetana Bhaat, and Vanita Kharat.

Title of the show,: CHALA HAVA YEU DYA  

This was one of our favourite shows, but currently, we don't watch it because it loses the charm. This was one of our family's favourites show, which we almost watched while having dinner. Their tagline was "Hastay na, Hasat Raha, and Mast Raha." 

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS SHOW : 

1. I like the writer and actor Niles Sabale. He was a newcomer but very well-marinated in this Marathi industry and ruled on Zee 5 almost for 10 to 12 years. 

2. Their topics are almost movie remakes. That made you laugh out until your cheek and stomach hurt. 

3. I can't pick any one skit because it is very difficult to pick. My favourite skit was where Shahrukh Khan was the guest and they remake BAJIGAR. The car race was hilarious.  The whole skit was outstanding—in execution, dialogue, direction, and acting. While writing, I am laughing because the skit comes in front of my eyes.😁 Just check once on YouTube you will love it.

4. They made remakes of SHOLEY, BAAHUBALI, DEVDAS and many more famous movies. The way they executed the skit is so natural that you can actually see them as heroes and heroines. 😂

5. They also make fun of our well-known political leaders. Some of my favourite political leaders in this show are Raj Thakare, Ramdas Athavale, and Ajit Pawar.

6. Favorite actors are Bhau Kadam, Kushal Badrike, Niles Sabale, Sagar Karande, Bharat Ganeshpure, and Shreya Bugade.

Rating: 7/10 (currently they are not up to the mark).

Only these two shows stole my heart and laughed me out till my stomach and cheeks hurt.

MY FAVOURITE COMEDY MOVIES : 

There are lots of comedy Indian comedy movies but these are my all-time favourite. I can watch these films anytime and anywhere. 

1. DE DANA DAN 

PAN PACIFIC HOTEL: The large beauty and heaven. The whole movie was in this hotel. Hats off to Priyadarshan for his brilliance. The movie crosses all lines of nonsense, confusion and compromise. The screaming, the language, and the execution of each scene are tremendous. 

The movie has almost 25 characters, and each character plays its role brilliantly. The main pillars of this movie are Paresh Rawal and Manoj Joshi. 

The remaining characters are Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Johny Lever, Vikram Gokhale, Samera Reddy, Shakti Kapoor, Archana Puran Singh, Manoj Joshi, Asharani, Aditi Govatrikar, and Rajpal Yadav, who played very well. 

THE PLOTLINE: 

Two penniless friends are in desperate need of money to marry their respective girlfriends. In their attempts to make quick money, they kidnap a rich woman's pet dog and demand a hefty ransom. And the confusing journey started. The end of the movie is epic. The water flood shows like a Titanic, which is a giant, and all confusion is cleared in this flood only. 

Overall, this film was epic, with nonstop laughter, nonsense, screaming, full of confusion, will keep you hooked and make you laugh out until your cheeks and stomach hurt and bring tears to your eyes.

 2. WELCOME

The hilarious, thrilling, and nonstop comedy of Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Firoz Khan, and Paresh Rawal. The movie's main hero 🤣is RD,  Firoz Khan as the danger Don. Being so old his acting is marvellous and he shows an actor is an actor. The brilliance, humour, and comedy of the gangsters are a speciality of this movie. There is no crime scene at all. Overall, it is a good family movie. 

PLOTLINE : 

Two famous gangsters wanted to fix their sister's wedding in a decent family. 
Rajiv meets their sister and falls in love with her. But his uncle wants to fix a marriage with a decent family that does not have any connection with crime. And then a series starts of hilarious comedy.

The main pillars are Nana Patekar, Firoz Khan, and Anil Kapoor. The twist started when Malika Sherawat entered their life. 

That epic: Jilelahi,😂😂 scene. And then the hilarious love story started.

3. GOLMAL 3 

Mithun Chakraborty and Ratna Pathak love stories, marriages, and Yeda Ajay Devgan. Awesome team of mental people with no sense. The main pillar of this movie is Mithun Da and his love story. The flashback is the Disco Dancer song. The way Mithunda dances is awesome. 

Though some dialogue and comedy are old.  Sometimes you don't laugh, but still, the movie is filled with sibling's rivalry, sentiments,  nonsense and emotions as orphans.  Try to ignore KAREENA KAPOORS overacting 

PLOTLINE :

A single father, Pritam, comes across his college sweetheart, Geeta, in Goa. He wants to have his GUDDI in his life. But both of them have children, and they didn't agree on this because of rivalry. And the fun part started. 

The story is fantastic, and it is a family movie. The action part is bonus points for Rohit Shetty, and he did an awesome job with all vehicles 🤣 The sibling's love and emotions are too much. The way they make you laugh and in the end, they make you cry is awesome. Tushar Kapoor's acting is the best. 

The blend of comedy of Ajay Devgan, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Tushar Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Mithun Da, and Ratna Parhak.

These are our favourite shows and movies which make us stress-free. otherwise nowadays comedy ke naam pe kuch bhi chalata hain. Frankly speaking, there are very few shows which make me laugh. And above mentioned shows are my all-time favourite and they are freely available on OTT.

BEST FRIENDSHIP K - DRAMA: THIRTY NINE

Hello, Happy Friday, 

Any K drama fans here? I am addicted to K drama but I am very choosy on selecting it. One of my favourites is Thirty-Nine - Best Friendship Korean drama. It is filled with girls' friendship, love, small disputes, emotions and life. This drama is a realistic picture of a lifetime friendship.

We all have friends but how many of them remain in our lifetime? Maybe one or two. Right,  because as we grow older our circle becomes smaller. This is true and proven in this series. 

ABOUT DRAMA   : 

Thirty-Nine is a k drama that features the life of 3 female friends who are about to turn 40. The trio shares life, happiness, love and pain. They are in solidarity in support of each other. They had been friends since the age of 18 and knew each other like the back of their hands.

One of them is diagnosed as stage 4 pancreatic Cancer and then the life of this trio has changed drastically. Instead of looking back, they decided to do things which they wanted to do and that makes them happy. Trio decides to concentrate on the present.

ABOUT CHARACTER :

The story revolves around three female friends: Cha Mi Jo, Jeong Chang Young and Jang Jo Hee.

Cha mi Jo ( Son Ye -jin) 

is a warm character. She belongs to a wealthy family and runs a derma clinic with her sister. Later she found that she was adopted by this family which broke her heart and she tried to find out the real mother. Her journey is emotional and heartbreaking.  

Jeong Chang Young ( Jeon  Mi-do) 

She is the main character of this series. She wanted to be an actress but she turned into an acting coach. Her parents own Jeong's kitchen in Yangpyeong. She is quite a straightforward person but sincere towards her family and friends. 

Jang Jo Hee ( Kim Ji-hun) 

is a cosmetic manager at the department store. She lives with her mother and has a timid persona but is sweet and loveable. She always becomes a sandwich in two of them. She is sensitive so both friends try to keep her away from the unwanted things. 

How do you feel when you get to know your friend is about to die within a few months? This trio's journey is inspiring. 

From a simple story of friendship, they explored their growth together and became the best part of each other. The story is a bit emotional but highlights many things. Friendship is the base of the series and it does bring tears to your eyes. When I watched the last episode it took me a week to move on. 

WHY DO I LIKE THIS DRAMA? 

The emotions, culture and respect for each other are best shown in the K drama - the speciality of the drama. Some moments of this trio's friendship shine like a diamond. The way they supported and cheered for one another was terrific. We can feel the love among themselves.

Some of the moments surprised you like

Mi Jo answered “friend” to Seon Woo’s question of what she liked at the age of 29. 

Jang Hee wanted to open a shop and when she won the lottery instead of using it for herself she gave that luck to Chan Young. 

Mi Jo gave up on her trip to the States to take care of her sick friend.

MY FAVOURITE SCENES OF THE DRAMA: 

# Jeong knows she will die soon. Her fears when she talks with Cha - what will happen after my death? What will be my funeral? Will people cry for me? These scenes give me goosebumps. 

# Jeong gives a list of her friends which she wants to have at her funeral. Cha actually invited all of them when she was alive. This scene touched my heart and I teared up. Being a best friend she fulfilled her wish in her presence only.  And she is happy to leave this world. 

# Being adopted is heartbreaking. Every adopted kid wants to find real parents and why they left them. But the truth is it's not the kid's choice to be left and abandoned. Everything ends when Cha realizes that her adopted parents are the real family which provides her love and happiness. Accepting these facts makes her life easier rather than finding out the truth.

# After realising that our friend was living for a few days Cha and Joo were constantly with her. Two of them are staying with her at home to take care of her by adjusting their jobs. They had a night out, food and lots of girl's fun. The way Cha and Jang tried to be happy in front of her and cheer up while struggling inside to lose her is painful. 

#Finally three of them got their boyfriends in thirty-nine. Exactly the way they wanted. They enjoyed the food, snow and karaoke together. 

# Fear of death is scary.  When you know you are going to die after some days how will you feel?  

Jeong visited the funeral and tried to see herself in that position. She was scared of what would happen to her body when she died. Her acting is so natural that you even flow with the pain and emotions. 

# After her death these two friends with their boyfriends and with Jeong's boyfriends meet each other frequently. They used to meet her parents to celebrate birthdays every year and take care of them. Life must go on but both never forget her.

Be with them no matter what happens, other relations may not live longer but friendships stay forever.

SATURDAY MOVIE DATE NIGHT AT HOME #102

Happy Friday!

Watching a movie at home is now our favourite part. It not only rejuvenates but also gives the feeling of accomplishment of the necessary reset for the next week. 

Not every week we watched a movie but yes trying to watch mostly. And yes, we are not watching only new movies. We tend to watch old movies also. I always make a watch list and according to my time.😁

Because I am Mom and Wife.  So priorities matter but at the same time I tried to entertain myself watching movies and series on Netflix or hotstar. I tried to watch a simple and halki fulki movie which did not give too much stress. I like to watch comedy, suspense, and family movies. A love story is not my kinda favourite.

This time we watch the Marathi Movie which I think should go for Oscar Nominations. I wanted to watch it for a very long time  but I didn't get any chance. Finally I watched it and wanted to store it on my blog as a review for you too. 

Many of you may be watched or many of you may not know about this movie. So give a read and make sure to watch at least one time. I am hundred percent sure you will love it. 

Movie Name  : Vaalvi

Language : Marathi

Type /Genre : Thrill Comedy 

Stars : Swapnil Joshi, Anita Date, Shivani Surve and Subodh Bhave

Storyline : 

Movie start with suicide attempt by  husband and wife by putting gun on their head. Whereas the wife is dead because her gun has bullets and the husband's gun is empty. And that is the gripping part of the entire movie. 

Aniket (Swapnil Joshi) and his wife Avani (Anita Date) are a couple who decide to end their lives together. But this is the plan set up by Aniket's dentist girlfriend Devika (Shivani Surve). The murder is being executed by both Devika and Aniket and rehearsed many times so that it will look like as a perfect suicide without any proofs. However, the best laid plans go awry when they find someone playing with them. And then the real game begins. 

How do they deal with this person ? Do they become successful in murder? Is Avani dead? Does their murder plan work out very well ? 

Yeaaa, the 1 hr 45 minutes movie gets you hooked till the end.

Message of the Movie : 

Vaalvi means termites. The term has been used to  convey the meaning of how everything can be slowly but steadily destroyed from within - it may be human relations or your house. Do shield yourself from this termite as soon as possible.

What I Like ? 

I like the way the movie ends. That is the turning point of the movie. Suspense keeps you at the bar and you are eager to know what happened next? Every actor and actress played a brilliant role. The natural acting is the major attraction of this Film. 

Final Word: 

Anita Date is the brilliant actor. The way she showed herself as a psychic is awesome. 

Swapnil has the best role in his entire life. I never saw him as a villain but yaa he is so natural and terrific. I love his character.

Subodh Bhave plays a very psychic Doctor but he actually looks like a  psychic. I always wonder if the psychologists are psychic then how can they treat the patients? 😜

Shivani is the best played character in the whole movie. The culprit who is assertive and pushes everything on these two people. The best villains female awards must go to her.

SATURDAY MOVIE DATE NIGHT AT HOME

Happy Monday. 

It's been ages since we went to the theatre to watch movies as a couple since we became parents. The last movie I saw was Padmavat on the big screen. Yep, I am not that much of a movie freak. But yes I love to watch particular movies only. 

We started currently our movie date night  at home to add some fun to our parenting life. A movie date night at home means to have a cozy nook with some pillows and blankets, some popcorn pop at home and with some cold drink / coffee. I tried to make it feel as a theatre and so we thoroughly enjoyed our time at our comfort place at home . Sometimes we see with family and sometimes we only have two "husband and wife " with babies if they are awake. 

I find out this date is most funny. We laughed which we forgot in our daily household chores. We generally watch movies at night after 7 pm and I don't cook anything. Means I prepared a meal in the afternoon only so dinner is sorted out and  without having any background work I can really enjoy movie and then get back to sleep 😴.

This week we saw OMG 2 

And I love it.❤️❤️❤️

I have not reviewed any movies on my blog yet. But yes I would like to share this movie review so that you can watch it with your family. Yes, I am quite late for this post but this is Memory Flies where I stored my memories. I hope you will enjoy this post.

Movie Name : OMG 2

Actor : Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam.

OMG 2 revolves around the court fight of a father. Father fights with the education system who does not teach body parts and biological processes to his child and the  chemist who sold cheap drug and roadside sellers who sold cheap oil and doctor who misleading his son on enlargement of his genitalia. He himself considered responsible for not giving proper knowledge to his son about puberty.

Finally in India this sensitive topic is discussed through the movie. How a teenage boy gets mislead due to peer pressure and some wrong people including a chemist and doctor. Movies talk openly about masturbation and penis enlargement. Being a Mahakal Devotee speaking about this masturbation is a sin. And so the kid do not have any education about this sensitive topic and being dragged by peers. How parents also get humiliated by the community for raising the wrong kid. 

What message does the movie give ?

This movie is an eye opener. Talking about puberty, sex, masturbation and other reproductive organs is not a sin. It is a necessity for an hour. If it is done by school then it will be easier to handle the peer pressures.

Every parent should watch this movie with their kids. Talking about puberty, penises and masturbation is not a taboo. If the education board includes this Sex education as a subject it will be easier.  Parents can have a talk on this subject to educate their child at the proper time.  

My take on this topic: 

Kids are growing very fast. Most of the parents think it is not the right time to talk. Or how to talk ? Just because we all are grown up by taking this subject is like a sin. 

 

But 

With free access to the internet children grow more beyond our knowledge. It is really important to have basic and proper sex knowledge especially our organs treated as a body part and reproduction system from parents and school so that they should not get trapped in any other misleading scenes. If they are misleading by Google it will have a worse impact on their mental health and the child leads to depression or pornography too. 

About Character: 

The main character protagonist is played by one of my favourite actors Pankaj Tripathi. Mahakal's character played off course by  Akshay Kumar. Though he have small scene but it embarking. The special character the victim is played by Arush Sharma is so genuine that it brings tears to your eyes. Simplicity is the base of every character with the backdrop of the Mahakal Devotee. 

I personally first time saw how Mahakal is worshipped in ujjain. 

Final word :

Sex Education should be included in the school syallabus so that our children will not search anything on Google. They will not came across any misleading information. They will see this Tabbo subject as a normal things. 

And most importantly our generation parents should have open conversation about this topic at the right time with our kids.  Though it is a girl or boy it is our responsibility to educate our children with proper basic knowledge. With this education I hope crimes in our society such as molestation, rape, sexual harrasment will lower down.
