What Marriage Has Taught Us

Happy Monday,

It’s been a very long weekend or you can say a long gap for my blogging. Yes, I am little bit busy with my family so not able to blog.

Most of the people expect that married life is like a fairy tale especially when you got newly married. It is perfectly normal that every new groom or bride get excited and positive, but after sometimes, say years marriage doesn’t work as per the imagination or expectation and very soon you realize that whether our decision is wrong or right? Do we choose the right person? Is it worthwhile to carry our relationship? blah…blahh…blahh….!

Today is my Marriage Anniversary. Yess, we have completed six years together. We had a ride on a emotional roller coaster with ups and down, laughter and tear shed along the way.

Haaa…., yes and we do find our relationship is now mature enough and balanced too.

Every marriage is different but what matters to strengthen the relationship is always same to everyone. So moving on, without any further delay, these are few things which marriage has taught us.

Respect: Respect is one of the most important things that husband and wife both have to follow. It is equally necessary to both of them to respect each other. Respect the opinion when you do have fights or you may disagree on some topic. It is not at all necessary that both of you have to agree on same topic. A husband has different opinions than a wife. Its okk….Try to agree this and respect her or his view and don’t make her agree forcefully on the same view. Accept it and stop the conversation over there.

Money: Money is the very sensitive issue, do not fight on this. Because when you get married there will be no my money and your money, it’s our money. It doesn’t matter who earns how much whether a husband can earn less or wife can earn more, ultimately both of you earning for your house. So Respect that too and never ever fight on money because it will hurts your spouse’s feeling. Do communicate with each other while spending the money.

Love: It is one of the most important to love each other and top on that express your love to your spouse. Three words “ I LOVE YOU” make the huge difference. Whenever possible just say it to your spouse from the bottom of your heart. Love each other, hold hand and talk with each other. Go on dates and enjoy your time only with your spouse without any distraction like phone call, whats up, friends etc. Spend some precious time with each other.

Try to Accept:  We have some misconception about our spouse like about her or his behavior, understanding, the way he take care….etc. But when thing not happened as per our expectation we start to fight with each other. Whether its arrange marriage or Love marriage we know our spouse only from the outer side, and when we spend some years with him we came to know that our spouse is not like what she or he was. The real nature of our spouse is very different. Learn to accept that. Accept her or him the way he or she is. Like if the guy enjoys watching TV or Cricket Match, do let him watch. If a girl enjoys doing make up or shopping, do let her do. She is enjoying and happy with that.  When you start to accept the things so easily you will find the rest of the things will get normal so fast. Do not keep in mind that he or she was not like that before and now change drastically…..never mind….accept that. It will make your life much easy and happy.

Be Humble: It is one of the most important traits for successful married life. Do not make any arguments if you can solve the problem calmly. Things are become worse when you do have your pride or ego with you. Apologize or being the first one to say Sorry or admit that I was wrong, ever. This will not let you down to your spouse. This will help to ease the fights. After all it‘s your spouse, say sorry and just hug him or her, it will not take any cost but off course strengthen your relationship. Be humble always, do not lie and annoy to your spouse and do not bring your pride or ego in your relationship.

Communication: How many of you have communication with your spouse in your busy schedule life? Communication is the key to resolve problem. Do keep healthy communication with your spouse then only you came to know the view of your spouse, how he or she think or act, how will they behave etc. Have conversation on daily topic beside your household things, do talk on movie review, on cricket, on breaking TV news, etc. Do laugh together. Watch comedy show and talk on that. Do not make a fight instead of that do talk calmly with each other and try to figure out what’s going wrong and what is right. Many of the problems will get resolved.

There are many more, but then post will get too long and you will get bored. We are still learning as a parent’s of our baby doll.

Preettyy long and wiered topic na ? Actually I saw many of broken relationship  due to small stupid thing.  I hope my post will help that relationship and many couples.

Hope all of you too have a healthy and loving married life

This post is especially for my hubby, because I have learned a lot from him. This is the way to show the humble gratitude.

Love you hubby, Happy Marriage Anniversary……Be with me forever to cherish all beautiful moments of our life.

Mother's Day Weekend

How was your weekend, especially mother’s days?

I had a wonderful weekend. My birthday, then there was a birthday party of my cousin baby and off course on Sunday - Mothers day. Sorrry, I am little bit late to this post.

Saee at 12 O Clock, midnight wishing me my birthday and then she was saying it was her birthday.

On next day we hang out, had a dinner which was pure vegetarian, but was awesome. I ordered hotel’s special dish, it was Three in One veg, which include one sweet panner, spicy paneer and top on that mushroom, baby corn spinach masala!!! I just love it.

Saee like her noddles...,

We headed to my mom’s place because we have invitation of birthday party. Saee was really excited to go for birthday party. It was first birthday party of my cousin’s baby, so the event was a big.

Birthday boy, Yugant…

After party was finished he was free to play, especially not crying...!

Saee, ever ready for birthday.

I still remember when she was very young she used to cried a lot because of the burning candle on the cake and the birthday wish song….I used to hate it. Den I constantly took her to attain several birthday party.., Thank God! we are at Poddar ( it’s our society name) where we have a birthday party within every fifteen day. Now I am glad that Saee really enjoy the party, the candle blow, birthday song and food too, specially juice, her favourite.

It was on 6th May 2016. The cake was really yummy…..!!!

Two little sisters

On Saturday we saw a movie ‘’Sairat”. Nitin wanted to saw the first day first show, but tickets are not available. So we book the ticket 2 days before and finally we saw the movie (I think!) after 2 years.

I can not give any review cause I am very little person to review the Nagraj Movie. Nagraj Manjule is the Indian Film maker and Nation award winner of his films like “Pistulya”, “Fandry” and his latest movie is “Sairat” which was premiered at 66th Berlin International Film Festival . (Source: Wikipedia).

The movie is all about cricket, love story, friendship, Prestige issue and then comes to the reality of the life. The end of the movie make you silence!!!!

Please who still have not watch the movie, go and watch it.

And comes Mothers Day

I certainly do not believe that there should be one specific day to celebrate Mothers day.  Lots of effort took by a mother to up bring the child, sacrifice everything just for the baby’s future, and many more stuff which we do not know as a child. But guys certainly we have been always taken for granted our mother for everything. For me, yes, my mother is just like my pillow and my comfort zone. I am so glad that have two mothers, yup... one is my real mom, and one is my attya (father’s Sister) she is been mom of my father too, and that is the reason, she is granny, mom, attaya like everything for us. We can not imagine our life without her.

I am also a mom of my baby doll, and my sister also a new mom of her one month’s baby boy. We mom like my mom, attya, me and my sister, are at one place for this mother’s day. Hurry!! It was great day.

Only two words of gratitude is not enough for our mom’s effort, but needless to say this is the day on which we should say Thank You for being so wonderful and celebrate.

My birthday treat was pending and mother's day also there, so Nitin bought the cake and we cut the cake…off course..Saee is there to cut, she love to say that it was her birthday and asked everyone to sing birthday song for her.

This is my first mother's day which I celebrate with my mothers and my baby to. My weekend was a blast and memories are wonderful.

How was your weekend?

Have you celebrate the Mother’s Day with your mom? If Yes? Then How?

Baby First Food

Hello there,

Its been a very long weekend. We are at our mummy's home to welcome the new baby. Do you guys remember my baby shower post.....yes.,.. my sister blessed with a baby boy.

Recently I have joined parent groups on social media. This all are from the Indian region. It was nice to have a parent talk on the child’s topics like food, potty training, schooling, arrogant behavior, fussy eater etc. One thing I came to know that many of the young mothers who are not at all aware of how to start and what to start as food for the small babies. I was replying each one of them but I thought it will be better to make post instead of replying individually.

Disclaimer:  I am not the professional. This is my experience with my daughter who is now 2 and half years old. Before you start any food with your little one consult your pediac first.

# before introducing any new food just go with the 3 days rule, it means try any new food one at a time for 3 days to find out whether it suits to your baby or having any allergic reaction. In this way you can find out which food suits to your baby and remove that food from your list which is more
allergic.

# never feed your baby by laying him down. Make him sit on your lap or on a high chair. In this way your small one starts to sit properly which strengthen the backbone too.

# always breastfeed first and then start your purred form meal.

# At the beginning your little one refused to take food but offer him or her again and again until he or she like it.

# serving size should be 1 Tbspoon and after that gradually increase the serving size.

# until 6 months you need to do only breastfeeding as per the doctor suggestion. And it is equally important for us as a mother.

These are the tips which will helpful for you. Six months onwards you can start the baby food from liquid to solid. I never gave saee any store bought cereals meals instead of that I am mostly trusted on homemade meals which are safe and hygiene.

After googling so many sites and with the help of elder one like my mom, mother in law and Attya (Father's Sister) I start with this food adventure with my little one. This all foods make her healthy and boost up her immunity power too.

Babies first food for 6 to 8 months:

Homemade cereals: Rice, Barley and oats. We prepared it at home only. Take the raw rice, grind it in smooth powder and cook with enough water by adding little salt and jaggery. Never use sugar for your little one, instead of that use jaggery which contain high amount of iron and magnesium. In the same way you can make the cereals from barley and oats too.

Fruits: Saee’s first food is banana. She love banana till. I introduce her banana when she was 7 months. Peel the banana and smash it with the help of spoon. It is so soft that there is no chocking fear. Sometime I mixed the mashed banana with milk also. But she loves without milk. Now also she do not like to have banana milkshake instead of that she eat raw banana.

After that you can give your baby pumpkin, apple, peach. You need to cook these fruit until soft enough and then make a puree by blending in mixi jar.

Vegetables: Green beans, Sweet Potato, Carrot, Green Peas. All you need to first wash under the running tap water, clean it and steam it in steamer until soft. Blend it in a mixture. Do not mix everything make a separate puree each one of them. Saee eat only sweet potato and carrot. Rest of the two vegetable she eats as raw means not in purred form when she get older.

Dairy:

# Yogurt: Plain whole milk yogurt which is saee’s favorite’s food. I gave her as raw without mixing anything neither sugar nor salt. She loved it and finished at a time one cup of yogurt. After 10 months onwards when she started to eat finger food then I gave yogurt with fruit slice.
# Shrikhand : This is one of the most favorites items of all babies. You can start Shrikhand, yup….its only plain shrikhand not amrkhand (Mango Flavour) Just dip the small spoon in shrikhand and give in your baby’s hand and see how much quickly your baby will grab that.

# Whole Milk: Start to give whole milk like cow’s milk in sippy cup, not in a bottle without adding any sugar. Try to avoid sugar as much as possible until 1 year because sugar is refined by a chemical process which is harmful for baby and it will also dipress the immunity.

This is saee's favourite sippers which i had start to use when she was six months baby. She still love it. But now she can drink from the water bottle and glass also. Start as early as possible to give such type of sippy cups which have slow flow.

Water: Off course water is the most important. Water shall start after six month only. I never gave her water with the spoon. I bought nice colored small baby sippers and just gave her so that she can learn to hold the cups. You can also give water of cooked rice and dal which is very healthy.

Once your baby adjusts to the food try to increase the food quantity slowly. And try to give new food after consulting your pediac. I hope this will help all new mommies.

Till then Happy Parenting.

If you have any queries ask me in the comment section below.

Share the food experience of your little one.

Malvani Fish Curry

Happy Wednesday.

Who don’t like to have sea food in the meal?  I am sea food lover. I like fry fish, especially if it is made by my Mother in Law. Saee is a great Fish eater (knock on the wood plzz). Many of my friends asking for fish curry recipe so today I am sharing my mother in law’s special recipe, an authentic Malvani Fish Curry. She is expert in cooking all malvani fish items. I am still learning from her and hope will make exactly like her.

Serving Size: 6 Adults
Ingredients required:

Fish : Anchovy fish 250 gm
Coconut:  1 cup
Onion: 1 big
Red Chilies: Fistful
Dhania (Coriander) Seeds: 1 tsp
Garlic cloves: 4 to 5
Ginger: ½ inch
Curry Leaves: 4 to 5
Haldi: ¼ tsp
Kokum Petals: 4 to 5
Oil: 2 tsp
Salt: as per taste

Have a step by step pictorial recipe.

We have Anchovy fish (Marathi name – Mandeli), you can take any fish you like. Clean it and washed with running tap water for 3 to 4 times.

Masala preparation:

Grate the fresh coconut, cut the onion into small piece, peal the garlic and cut the ginger in small piece. Sankeshwari Red Chilies are used for malvani fish curries which are not spicy but gives a nice thick red color. Soak these red chillies in water for 5 minutes, remove the stem and cut in to two pieces.

Grind it by using a small amount of water, grind into smooth paste, like this

Heat oil in deep kadhai, put some onions in it and fry till it turns in pink color. Add curry leaves let them crackled

Add grounded paste and stir it for 10 seconds and let the mixture boiled.

Add salt as per taste.

After that add washed fish. Stir it slowly so that fish get completely mixed with the masala.

Let the mixture boil for ten minutes. Lastly add kokum petals and stir the mixture again n boil for more five minutes.
Fish does not take a lot of time to cook. So take care that it should not overcook too.
Serve it with plain steam rice or tandalchi bhakari .

Yum yum…….. We have it once in a week with different kind of fishes.

What are your favourite non veg items of the daily meal?

Do you like fish curry or fry fish?
