Organization of kid's closet

Happy Sunday

How was your first month of 2017? I was quite busy throughout the month so not able to make any post on my blog. This will be the first organization post of 2017. No, I am not organized person; actually, I am a lazy girl/women/mother? The day Saee (my daughter) born I want to be organized for a various reason. You all mommies know how the newborn baby room looks like. There is diapers, baby burp cloths, swaddling blanket, baby quilt and baby lotion, baby oil bla, bla, bla, bla….!! At that time, I felt that it needs to be organized. Everything should have proper place. I was trying since she was a baby. Now she is 3 years old so I want to share with all you mummies how I organize my little one closet where I am placing all her clothes, books and toys all in one place.

Whenever Saee want to wear clothe, she asked me to take out all her clothes from the closet and then she will choose from it. It was a huge pile and I tend to keep it like that only again in the closet. It happened with her toys also. She wants every toy to play and finally the living room is filled with toys. Whenever any guest is coming there is a huge marathon to pick up the entire toy and put in one huge basket. Next day when she asked me, for a particular toys then I have to find it from that box which was most time consuming and irritating. Isn’t it happens with you mommies?

So I decided to make it organized. This is the real kid’s closet and I organized in my way so that each thing have proper place including toys also. This is worked for me from last 3 months. So I thought to share it here.

I used whatever we have in the house like shoe box, clothes box. Whenever we purchase the new clothe, we get this kind of boxes do not throw that and reuse. I am using this box from last three month, which is in still good condition. You can cover it by using different contact paper. However, I like this only. I used these boxes because it consume less space and able to incorporate more clothes.

This is the way I fold her clothes so that I came to know how many clothe she have. I just need to take out one box and then she chooses one clothe of her choice. I can track which clothes she used, if she is not using any clothe more than three months I transfer it to the donation box.

I label each box. I have total six boxes, particularly for her pants and leggings, T-shirts, daily ware, small pants, undergarments etc.

This is one of the baskets, which I used to keep her all frocks, which took a lot of space. This will go directly in the closet.

I put her accessories like hair band and her spects (goggles) in this box, which take a small space and all hairband, remain in good condition.

Now toys, I made a box for each toy so that it will be easier to keep all variety of toys segregated.

This is Barbie set, which include all barbies and accessories of barabies.

All vehicles are in one box.

Kitchen set and fruits go in this box. I used this plastic box, which is transparent, that help her to recognize the toys. I used the plastic box to keep puzzles toys. I am able to track and remove the toys, which are not in good condition. I throw out those toys and whichever toys she did not like it go to the donation box.

Yup I keep one box as a donation box which is used to filled up and cleared up within 5 months. This will help to keep your closet clutter free and create more space. Whenever you buy new things, old things should be getting out of that place. This in and out rule follows for all clutter like kitchen bedroom or my closet too.

Saee’s small closets have only four shelves out of two are occupied with her toys and two for her clothes. I used the small basket to keep her small board books that she loved to read every day.

This is how it looks, organized and easy to maintain. It will take only 5 minutes to reorganize because whatever we took out, Nitin or I will put the same thing in that proper place due to labeling.  Saee got the freedom to choose her toys and clothes whichever she wants. Mummy is no more irritate, as there is no huge cloth piling or toys anymore.

How you organize your child’s closet specially in small space?

I am loving It

Biscuit Cake
You can prepare this simple Hide n Seek biscuit cake in oven or in pressure cooker. Many of you might know this. However, I tried it in oven. It looks yummy..isn’t it?

Nankhatai
I have tried most of the recipe from the web. This is one of them, the home made nankhatai, I made it in Diwali. Here is the you tube link https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=shrimuktfoods. Do not forget to check the link.

Next is my new spectacles, that have blue colour frame. Nitin love it a lot but I hesitated to take this because of the blue colour. Generally, people have black or brown colour frame. I am getting bored of using black colour frame from last 5 year, so dare to try this new one. Tell me guys how is it?  I am just lovingg it.

Giant Buddha statue at the Lumbini park of Hydrabad. I love this place and want to visit again. Here is the link of this travel post http://memoryflies.blogspot.in/2016/09/trip-to-hussain-sagar.html if you are interested.

Chicken Mayo Sandwich – Hubby asked me to prepare chicken sandwich. Therefore, I tried first time by googgling so many recipe and finally come up with my preparation. I had mixed cooked chicken with mayonnaise and prepared the salad with simple sliced onions, cucumber, and slice of tomato. Voila, Chicken Mayo Sandwich is ready. Turned out awesome. Trust me girls you must try this. I did not toast it because hubby does not like a toasted sandwich.

Glimpse of Diwali 2016

Hello there,

Happy Diwali to all of you from me………this is my first Diwali.!!!
He is my sweetheart, Divyam…..Yes this Diwali is special for us because our new member is added to our small family.

Yup…. I am little bit late for blogging due to the festive season. Navaratra followed by Dussehra (Vijayadashmai) and Diwali are two big festivals of Maharashtra or India, no…. its India only. Yes these festivals are celebrated in all over India with lot of enthusiasms. I am not able to blog on all these day (he…he…he..Excuses….) I had a lot of stuff for blogging but cannot make it. Without wasting too much time let’s have a glimpse of my Diwali celebration and let me know in the comment section below how was your Diwali?

Aakashkandil, without this there will be no Diwali. Nitin always excited to lit up the Aakashkandil and bring all lighting stuff from Sahara Market, CST. In market you will get variety of Kandil but I like this simple and traditional Kandil especially in orange color.

This rangoli was made by me on Badi Diwali i.e on Laxmipujan. Around after three years I had tried my artwork, which is not yet accurate. But I am satisfied that I am still able to draw the rangoli.

I decided to make diwali sweet at home without taking any help of the elder one. So this was the first trial base Diwali Faral which turned out amazing. I have got the compliments from the entire elder’s family member. Saee (my daughter) is the one who constantly asking to me sweet pedha and because of her I make my first diwali sweet - Besan Laddoo, she called them Pedha.

Tried the Biscuit or Nankhatatai whatever you called and it turns awesome, melting in mouth with everything is balanced. These were my hubby’s opinion. Yupp….he loved it so much that first trial batch was finished by him within one week and asked more n more. He is the one who do not like all diwali sweet like karanji, shankarapali etc. He indulges only on Chakali and Shev which I was not intend to make. Poor guy ….but instead of that I gave him delicious Nankhatai.

Then I tried to make sweet shankarapali and my all time favorite Karanji with stuffing of Coconut, semolina, icing sugar, dry fruits.

We dressed on Laxmipujan and did pooja followed by some photo session, he he he …!!

Bhaubeej, the most awaiting day where we sister and brother were eager to meet each other. My Attya (my father’s sister) came and brought everyone’s favorite stuff still. We used to tell her that this is the time where we should give you but she said I am still alive.  We do not have Granny so she is everything for us, our granny, mother, attya and friend. Yes she is our best friend too. It was first Bhaubeej of Divyam and Saee’s, and guess what……both cried a lot.

Divyam and Saee

We brother and sister

Do you know that on Diwali children used to build a fort? The old tradition is still followed in Maharashtra, I don’t know about other cities. This time hubby helped these small kiddos in making killa (it is Marathi word) starting from arranging bricks upto painting the fort by using white paint. He went out with them to brought Shivaji’s army too. He enjoyed a lottt by being a small again.

And it turns out

And one more traditional celebration of Diwali- that we used to play with this mud toys, Gas, Pot and Grinder. In Marathi it is called Jata, Matka, Chul and it is available only in Diwali season. My Attya brought this every year for us to play Bhatukali.  After 20 years she brought to me. My sister and me were so happy and started to fight that who will took that at home.

Thank you Aai (we called aai to our Attya) to make us small again.
For last year diwali post click on the link http://memoryflies.blogspot.in/2015/11/happy-diwali-2015.html

My Diwali 2016 was awesome and memorable. How was yours? Let me know.
Thank you for stopping by.

First Anniversary of Memory Flies

Ohh….my..God….!!! It is unbelievable that Memory Flies reach to this destination. When I started blogging, I do not know how long my blog will go. Will I be able to continue blogging or not? How will be the respond of viewers? And guess what… people, I made it! This is one of the happiest days in my life.

6th October 2015 is the day when I post my first ever blog post name Bandh Maitriche. Within two days, I had 145 pageviews that is inspiring. This was my first experience I even do not know how to write. Here is the link those who are interesting in reading. http://memoryflies.blogspot.in/2015/10/bandh-mairitche.html

Kudos to these guys, by seeing them you get to know what is friendship.

I made the Phirni/Rice Pudding for the celebration. It is actually my mom’s recipe, which is made by using the basic thing like milk, sugar, rice, dry fruits, and cardmon powder. My mom used to make it semisolid like a kheer, but I prefer to make it thick, solid and love to eat after chilled.I made this phirni first time and Nitin loved it lot.

Ok… this is the recipe…boil 1 litter milk on medium flame and stir it continusoly.

Soak one fourth cup of the rice 15 for minutes and then grind to the coarse paste without using water. I used basmati rice. You can use any rice.

Boil the milk until it reduces the original quantity, add rice paste to it. Then add sugar or condensed milk and boil on the medium flame till the rice mix with the milk homogenously. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. Use condensed milk instead of sugar, it will give you a nice and rich texture. Finally add dry fruit, saffron dissolved with hot milk and let it boil for another 5 minutes. All process takes around 25 to 30 minutes.

Tadddaa… phirni is ready, garnish with dry fruits and some strands of saffron. I forget to garnish as Nitin n Saee eagerly waiting to eat the sweet treat. Cool it at room temperature and then refrigerate. Phirni taste awesome when you served in earthen bowl and cooled.

Saee eagerly waiting to eat.

I am grateful to all my readers. Because when I started blogging around 80% people in my social network did not know what is blog. My journey starts with this where I used to explain what blog is. However, these people now enjoy my blog. I am grateful to my daughter Saee because of whom I am able to find my inner writing skills and my hubby Nitin who always appreciate my writing and some time criticize too.  Thank you both of you.

Thank you all my readers who are inspiring me to write and waiting for my blog post. Keep reading and sharing my blog post. For this year, I will do some fashion post. Hehehe….let me check my fashion sense? Do I have? Lets see.

Visit to Ramoji Rao City

Do u like South Indian Movies? Nitin loved it a lot! Some pictures I do love, like Magdheera, Bahubali, etc. The major south Indian films were shooted at Raomji Rao Film Studio or city. There were a lot of Indian movies, which are picturized in this film studio. When Nitin, told me that, we would be going to Hyderabad, my first reaction was, shall we visit Ramoji Rao studio? Because it actually far away from Hyderabad city and one day is not enough to cover up the film city. People, if you want to see this film studio either you go early before 9.00 am or the best option is to stay over there at least 3 to 4 days, then only you will get to see the beautiful film city.

The Ramoji Film City in India is the largest integrated film city in the World. At 1500 acres, it is the world’s largest film studio. (Gunnies world record). It is also a popular tourism and recreation center, containing both natural and artificial attractions including amusement parks. (Source: Wikipedia)

I would like to give out some tips for this visit.
·        First, we went there with our small kids. Lots of sites that you can see by walking and with your kids, it will be frustrating. Prepare for this if you are going with small kids.
·        Do not go in the monsoon season, yes, the real beauty is in monsoon only, but the photo lover like me, will not be able to make a nice click. You will get to know by watching our pics.
·        Third, if you are going to the monsoon go with umbrella or raincoat.
·        Fourth go early before 9.00 am so that you will able to cover at least half of the studio and can enjoy too.
·        Last but not the least; finish up with your tour or site is seen as early as possible before lunch. Then only you will be able to enjoy at Eureka Amusement park with lots of terrible rides.
·        Always go on an odd day, skip the holiday or Sunday to avoid the crowd.

Without wasting too much time let get started with the tour of Ramoji Rao Film City.
We got up early in the morning. Nitin booked Uber. Thankfully, Saee got up early too and we stepped out around 8.00 am.

We tried to reach before 9.00 am, but Hyderabad traffic is like Mumbai traffic and we were a little bit late to miss the special one i.e. welcome dance.

This one is Ramoji Film City bus. You can get AC bus too where you can be served with breakfast. Ticket ranges are different as per the service. However, I loved this bus at least we can able to get some more clicks…don’t know Nitin tried it for me. One guide was in the bus who told all the details about each spot. It was like Ramoji Rao Film Studio Darshan.

Main entrance of Ramoji Rao

Buddha Cave behind this

Sleeping Buddha.

Amitabha Bacchan starrer Suryavansham’s Palace. Most of the part of this movie picturized in this palace.

The Darbar set.

I loved this design structure; the whole darbar have the same design.

Duplicate Hyderabad railway station made for shooting purpose

Guess what…? See the tires, yes the movie train runs on the car tires.

Duplicate Airport Set

Have you remember the giant and beautiful waterfall of Bahubali? Shooted in this tall building. Can you believe it!  However, this is true.

Ramoji Movie Magic
We enjoyed the whole process of film making in this studio. From shooting up to the final product appear on the screen. It was actually a boring process but we enjoyed it.

Hava Mahal
The famous song of Tadap Tadap ke is dil ko….of Salman Khan, only the starting of the song shot over here. Apologize for dark image, due to rain, it was dark.

Chinese Garden

I think this is half of the Ramoji Film City from the top of the Hava Mahal. I could not cover up the whole Ramoji Rao in one post. I will be making in two or three-part.

Stay tune for the more interesting post.

Thanks for stopping by.
