Trip to Hussain Sagar

Happy Monday,

Hussain Sagar- HEART OF THE WORLD’ recognition by UNWTO.  Giant Buddha Statue stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake.

Heritage of the Hyderabad.

The first week of September 2016, we had a blast! Yup..an official tour of Nitin but we enjoy the small vacation/office tour. We took off on Saturday and reached at Hyderabad at 10 pm at Government Guest House Nirman Bhavan. It was an official trip so we have to stay at Guesthouse, which was better than a hotel in terms of budget and cleanliness too. Only one drawback is there that you will not get any bed tea or breakfast at your room. We liked it because it was right in the middle of the city from which each major area like Like bus stop, airport, railway station and hotels were easily accessible.
CPWD office and Guest House

Nirman Bhavan where we stay

Uber is the best travelling vehicle we used a lot. I will suggest you if you are going to Hyderabad use Uber only, it will give best service, vehicles are comfortable and pocket friendly too and will reach within the span of time. We went out on next day in the evening at Hussain Sagar.

Hussain Sagar is a heart shaped lake in Hyderabad built by Hazarat Hussain Shah Wali in 1563. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. An artificial lake holds water perennially fed by canals from Mushi River. Hussain Sagar Lake is the largest heart shape mark among the marks formed by 78 heart shaped lake on the earth. (Source: Wikipedia)

At Lumbini Park

Lumbini Park is adjacent to the Hussain Sagar, which is also a very good amusement park for all people from children to the adult. We went at Lumbini Jetty to catch a boat for Hussain Sagar.

Waiting for boat on Lumbini Jetty

This standing Buddha Statue right in the middle of the lake is the main beauty of this heart shaped lake. The real beauty can be seen only at night. Love it so much that want to spend the complete evening there only. However, it was not possible due to shortage of time and crowd of people. Guys, if you are going to visit this place please do not go on Sunday or any public holiday. You will not at all enjoy there.

Hello,

There was lots of selfie pic of small Krishna on every page of social media like on Whats up, Facebook, Instagram, pintrest etc. Yup it was Krishna Janmashtami, birth of Lord Krishna, and every parents were eager to dressed their child in Krishna attire with Dhoti, Mukut, Garland and Flute. All of them looked cute and adorable.

Our small Krishna, my sis baby…Divyam

Yesterday was Dahihandi, which is mean a handi, a clay pot which is fulfilled by Coconut, Dahi (curd), butter and money are hung up on a top and professionals make human pyramids to break the handi. This is one of the most awaited festivals by all. Across the India, the festival is celebrated with lot of joy. Especially you should visit Mumbai for this festival; it is very popular for a big competition of breaking of Dahihandi.

It is believed that Lord Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudev on this day at midnight hence known as Krishna Janmashtami. Most of people have a long day fast and they worship Krishna in the evening. At midnight, the idol of infant of Krishna is bathed in Panchamrit and the idol is put on the cradle and rock.

Oh my god…. A lot of holly information…..thanks to Sayali Kaki who followed this tradition every year. It is because of her I came to know all the rituals and sharing with you. Suggestions are welcome.

Let’s check out Dahi handi celebration of Candy Kids playgroup hosted by Anu. If you are new to my blog, I am posting an event of her playgroup regularly. Dahikala was celebrated on 25th August 2016. All these small kiddos looked gorgeous and cute in Krishna and Radha attires.

Raksha Bandhan

Hello there,

I am little bit late on posting of the event of Candy Kids Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan is an old ancient Indian festival that carries on this day. Sisters do aarti for brothers, put kumkum and rice grain on his forehead and tie rakhi on their brother’s wrist to pray for the safety, success and long life of the brothers. Brothers on their part vow to defend their sisters from all evils. It is deep bond between brother and sister. The most important thing is to prepare the Pooja thali with Rakhi, fistful rice grain, kumkum, diya and sweet.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 16th August 2016 as a Traditional Day in Candy Kids Playgroup hosting by Anu. She asked the girls to bring Rakhi and Chocolates to the boys. All kiddos look charming in traditional wearing. Without wasting, a time let us have all cuty cuty pics.

Saee's 3rd Birthday Party

As soon as rainy season start Saee started to ask for her birthday. Because she attended birthday party a lot and every time asked me, when will be my birthday? Therefore, we have to convince her that her birthday will be in rainy season that is in August. Yes, its 14th August 2013 our baby doll came in our world and fulfilled our life with full of joy and happiness. It is only Saee who actually gave a true meaning to our life as mommy and daddy. We both love you betaa so much….!!!

We had Saee's birthday party on 14th August 2016 at home. Party at home stresses me a lot. It was the whole process of cleaning the house, decorating the house for party and preparing dinner for guest. Thankfully, Nitin is there to help me a lot and insist me to be calm. We wanted to make this party simple. Saee did not like balloons and candles. Therefore, we decorate our house without them. This is the first birthday party where Saee did not cried at all.  It was kid friendly party where Saee and her friends enjoyed a lot.

We made a small decoration. We put the photographs of Saee by making small frame. I used colourful washi tape to make a frame. Use some colourful ribbons and Happy Birthday Garland.

We use alphabtes from Saee’s toy and write her name.

Here is the Birthday Girl.
First time wear Ghagra, Choli and Bangles. Looks so cute.

The big hit of the party was the game of draw a tail of an Elephant by covering your eyes. See the Elephant draw by me…hehehe…it was a baby elephant. We tie handkerchief on everyone’s eyes, then roll them three to four time and all children helps them where to draw a tail. See some pictures.

Then I wrote each one of name on that tail.

My Saee drew a tail

Saee’s favourite song “Zing Zing Zingat….” Everyone dance on that song. Sorry I do not have pic cause me and Nitin also dance together with these kids.

Here is the cake, her favorite Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake.

Mommy and her baby

We cut the cake without blowing the candles.

Had a simple snack like Cake, Jilebi, small Samosa, wafers and many Chocolates.

What really make the party are the people who attend. Though it was for children but I appreciate our friends and relative who came to bless my daughter.

Our friends

Saee’s friend, actually Nitin’s friend who came at the end of the party.

Our Family

And generous gift.

We distribute return gift to kids. It was storybook wrapped by Nitin.

Most importantly, Saee had wonderful time. Felt loved by her Baba, Aapi (Granny, she called her Aapi), Tushu Kaka, and rest of Kaka (Uncles).Party ended up at 11.00 p.m. but she wanted to open each gift and then played with her mini kitchen set until 1.00 a.m.

Love you my dolly.
